Rehlko Company Story

Paving the way in power protection innovation

1997

Uninterruptible Power Supplies Ltd is established by five founder members, and begins operating out of a small office in Theale, Berkshire, UK.

1999

UPS Ltd introduces the first three-phase transformerless and parallel technology uninterruptible power supply into the UK power protection market.

2001

UPS Ltd is the first UPS company to launch the three-phase transformerless, modular UPS in the UK.

2008

UPS Ltd is acquired by KOHLER Power Group, a global leader in engines and power generator systems. At the time, Dick Fotsch, KOHLER Power Group president, is quoted as saying: “Bringing UPS Ltd into our Power Group is an appropriate extension to our business. As we seek to become a full ‘systems’ supplier in the worldwide power generation market, UPS Ltd’s incredible maintenance and service reputation in the uninterruptible power supply category is a strong complement to providing complete power solutions for our customers.

2010

UPS Ltd opens its first international sales office in Singapore.

2012

After 15 successful years based in Aldermaston, UPS Ltd relocates to prestigious new offices in Hook, Hampshire.

2017

KOHLER acquires Pure Power Systems, UPSL’s long-time partner and distributor in Ireland.

2018

KOHLER Co. announces a multi-season deal to sponsor UK premiership football club Manchester United. The club’s first sleeve sponsor and there at the formation of the MU women’s team, the partnership is founded on shared values and is set to raise the profile of the KOHLER name around the globe.

2019

The UK, Singapore and Ireland companies of Uninterruptible Power Supplies Limited (UPSL) harmonise branding and change name to become KOHLER Uninterruptible Power. This emphasises links and shared capabilities with the KOHLER Power Group, which includes the world’s third largest generator manufacturer.

2020

KOHLER Power, a division of KOHLER Co. celebrates its centenary in power products on 16th February 2020.

2022

KOHLER Uninterruptible Power (KUP) celebrates 25 years providing exceptional power protection service and products.

2024

Kohler Energy becomes Rehlko. Building on the legacy of Kohler Energy, Rehlko is positioned to give individuals, businesses and communities the resilience they need to keep building a brighter future, together.
